Peacetime
Infrastructure can suck
your wing credits dry, but it
can also be the difference
between waking up to a wing or
not. With the most recent
game updates, infrastructure
became even more expensive.
That's not a bad thing.
Helps keep pilots who don't have
enough credits to think twice
before jumping into the pool.
Anyways, like everything else in
A00, everybody has different
thinking on infrastructure.
My thinking varies, depending on
the character of our wing.
There's definitely advantages to
the below variations.
Aggressive wings will likely get
bombed back so an inexpensive
infrastructure is very
attractive. On the other
hand, Passive wings tend to get
complacent in coverage and a
beefed up infrastructure is
almost mandatory to avoid
getting killed. Note: the
below examples are based on an
Inchon (15 pilot) wing. |

Defenses
If you don't plan on
defending your wing in fighter
aircraft, don't build wing
defenses. Easy enough.
If
you DO plan to defend your wing
in fighter aircraft, just know
that the different ground
missiles are effective on
different types of aircraft.
Some people think that 3 or 4 of
the missiles are all they need.
I prefer to give bombers as much
to look at as possible so I
build at least one of each.

wing cost. Patriots are
very effective against bomber
aircraft. Note: the below
examples are based on an Inchon

Wartime
Infrastructures can
cause you grief, but they don't
have to. You have two
choices: either elect to
be offensive and go with a low
budget infra OR elect to be
defensive and maintain a
fully-built infra. I
prefer offensive because I like
to bomb and it's cheaper in
terms of wing credits. See
below for recommended infras in
either case. For the offensive
set-up, just build the top six
sectors like that because it's
easier for those who want to
defend in fighters to cover six
sectors. You can go to
three sectors and make it even
easier for defenders. The
defensive set-up must be
maintained to be effective.
So you will NOT have a whole lot
of time to bomb. Remember,
bombs kill wings. The
faster you kill the other
wing... the less your wing
has to pay to rebuild. |

Note: you can also
consider destroying infra to
prevent the enemy wing from
ranking their pilots on
experience points. That's
a judgment call and you just
need to feel how easy the enemy
will be to kill. If easy
to kill the enemy, then don't
destroy your infra--due to the
expense in replacing what you
destroy. |
