Welcome to Area00!  If you are like i was, this game can be a little confusing, at first.  No worries.  It just takes a few hours of play to learn the basics and probably about 20-30 hours to really start understanding the various aspects.  I've got this page here for YOU...  so please take a little of your time to review it.  Hopefully, it will save you a lot of time in-game.  AND!  Get you on your way to some really fun times.

I do not recommend you try to dog fight until you complete your Flight School Requirements...  or at least get to the rank of major and have your sense built up. Dog fighting is hard enough and it costs credits to replace fighter aircraft.

1) Go to McCoy's Planes and buy 3 planes
  -- Su-34; Su-30MK; F-15E
These planes will give you enough to start bombing or defending your wing.
2) Go to Jafa's Parts and buy enough equipment to make your airplanes look like the list on the right side of this page The equipment that comes with a new plane will work, but you want the best equipment possible to kill buildings (infrastructure) and other planes.
3) Go to Arming and select the stuff that's recommended for each plane.  Note that you have three different loads that you can save to.  That makes it easier to load later on. The airplane is no good to anybody without weapons.
4) Click on fly (in game), select an arena (near bottom of page), click on that and then click on "Land" Nice job!  You just flew your first sortie and that got your pay started.  You need pay to buy more airplanes and weapons.
5) Leave the game for a day.  DON'T join a wing yet. Huh?  That's right.  Don't play for a day.  This will get 24 paydays in your personal bank.  When you first start playing, you won't want to run out of money.  It's a bummer
6) Next day, send applications to join a wing.  Don't expect the wings at the top of the wing list to accept you, but try anyways. You do not have to be too selective when you first start playing.  All you should want/need are sorties to bomb and build experience points, as well as credits.  Later, you can join a wing that might interest you or maybe fit your style better.
7) Go to your "pilot" page each time you get promoted and look for the yellow buttons next to "sense," "intel" and "stamina".  Click the one next to sense until it reaches 30,... then intel and last stamina. You can review the in-game manual for what all three of these do for your pilot character.  For now, just know to max out your sense first.
8) When you reach 2,000,000 million credits, buy a B-52 and make the internal equipment look like the one on the right. B-52's are expensive to buy and fly, but they can get you valuable experience points when bombing Command Centers.  Use the B-52 sparingly until you reach over 10,000,000 credits.
9) When you reach 4,000,000 credits, buy an F-22 and make the internal equipment look like the one on the right.

All of your shelters will be full after you buy the plane.
Now, if you are at least a major with some of your sense built up, you can consider dog fighting with a reasonable chance of winning.  Please consider getting ALL of your Flight School skills before you dogfight, though.  Those skills will give you a better opportunity to kill other airplanes.
10) When you reach 6,000,000 consider selling an airplane for one that you think will fit your needs better. I had you buy the first five to get you started building credits and experience points.  As you build credits you can afford to buy aircraft that will help your wing kill other wings.  See Bomber Configs/Loads to make informed choices.
Do's Don'ts
Go to Flight School after Each Promotion Don't waste your time or credits by DFing
Adjust your sense/intel/stamina after each promotion Don't bomb Yellow wings... Do NOT make it a habit
Play by A00 and wing rules Don't swear in the wing forum
Be kind in your messages and wing forum Don't create a wing without enough personal credits.
Be patient.  You will rank up soon enough. Don't share your personal life with these guys.  :-)
Invite your friends to play
Trust your instinct--that pilot probably is dumb!

Have Fun!!!
